Ahmedabad, Gujarat, July, 2024 - In a significant step towards advancing green hydrogen production in India, the Green Hydrogen India (GH2 India) has forged a new partnership with Gujarat Power Corporation Limited (GPCL), the state’s nodal agency for green hydrogen initiatives. The collaboration was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at accelerating green hydrogen production across the state, a move that promises to significantly boost both technological innovation and sustainable development in the region.

Building the Framework for Green Hydrogen Certification: Insights from the Roundtable on Navigating Certification and Regulatory Challenges for Green Hydrogen from India

Organised by: GH2 India Brussels, November 19, 2024 – During EU Hydrogen Week, stakeholders from India and the European Union convened at the Certification Roundtable to tackle one of the most pressing issues in the green hydrogen sector: certification. The discussion centered on the stringent Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO) standards under the EU’s Renewable Energy Directive (RED) and the pathways to align India’s burgeoning green hydrogen industry with these requirements.

The event featured prominent leaders from both regions, including representatives from India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the European Commission, Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), and top industry stakeholders and associations such as ACME, Adani, Accelera, Amgreen, Avaada, Bosch, Gasunie, Gentari, GH2 India, Hydrogen Europe, Hygenco, Linde, RWE, Rely Solutions, ReNew, Smart Energy, Sunfire and Snam.

Breakfast Meeting Summary: Advancing Green Ammonia and Hydrogen in India

On 21st October 2024, GH2 India hosted a high-impact breakfast meeting, bringing together industry leaders and stakeholders to deliberate on opportunities and challenges in green ammonia and hydrogen production.
