Capacity Building

Our capacity building initiatives aim to enhance the skills and knowledge of industry professionals, policymakers, and stakeholders in the green hydrogen sector. Through comprehensive training programs, workshops, and masterclasses, we equip participants with the expertise needed to drive the green hydrogen revolution in India. Our focus is on fostering a skilled workforce that can effectively implement and manage green hydrogen technologies, ensuring the success of projects and the sustainable growth of the industry.

Market Creation

To stimulate the green hydrogen market in India, GH2 India is dedicated to creating a robust and dynamic ecosystem. We facilitate collaborations between developers, investors, and end-users to drive the adoption of green hydrogen technologies. By organising webinars, roundtables, and industry events, we provide a platform for stakeholders to share knowledge, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities. Our initiatives aim to bridge the gap between supply and demand, encouraging investments and fostering a market environment conducive to the large-scale deployment of green hydrogen solutions.

Green Hydrogen Standard

The Green Hydrogen Standard (hereafter “the Standard”) establishes a global definition of green hydrogen. Green hydrogen is hydrogen produced through the electrolysis of water with 100% or near 100% renewable energy with close to zero greenhouse gas emissions. It requires that the environmental, social and governance consequences of green hydrogen production are thoroughly evaluated. It also requires that the development opportunities and impacts of green hydrogen production and use are fully considered.

Climate and Energy Transition Finance Initiative (CETFI)

The Green Hydrogen Organisation jointly with Bharatia is spearheading a comprehensive “Blended Finance Outreach and Advocacy” initiative centred around a detailed Library of Financial Structures, Facilities, Instruments, Incentives, Grants and Subsidies and enabling tools. This work is an extension and part of the Green Hydrogen organisation’s work to promote large scale financing for the sustainable development of Green Hydrogen economy, enabling decarbonisation and Energy Transition.

Policy and advocacy

GH2 India actively engages in policy and advocacy efforts to shape a favourable regulatory environment for green hydrogen development. We work closely with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and industry associations to influence policy decisions and promote the adoption of green hydrogen. Our advocacy efforts focus on highlighting the benefits of green hydrogen, addressing regulatory challenges, and ensuring that the policies support the growth and sustainability of the industry. By representing the interests of our members and stakeholders, we aim to create a supportive framework that accelerates the transition to a green hydrogen economy.

Green hydrogen legislation and contracting - for people and planet

Governments are setting green hydrogen targets, developing strategies and starting to implement policies to ensure they can benefit from the increasing demand for green hydrogen. However, few countries have established comprehensive legal and fiscal frameworks that will govern green hydrogen projects. In less regulated markets, contracts signed between governments and project developers are likely to set key project terms.
