Seoul, Republic of Korea, — Green Hydrogen India (GH2 India), is delighted to announce its formal induction into the Global Hydrogen Industrial Association Alliance (GHIAA). GHIAA is a global industry coalition representing a large cross-section of the hydrogen value chain; the alliance brings together the collective voice of more than 3,000 hydrogen companies from around the world.
The induction — announced during the 8th GHIAA General Assembly — marks an important step in deepening GH2 India’s international partnerships and its capacity to represent India’s interests at the highest levels of industry and policy making. H2KOREA facilitated GHIAA’s invitation and introductory materials around the Expo.
What this means for India
Membership of GHIAA provides GH2 India with direct access to global industry fora and decision-making tables. GH2 India will leverage this platform to:
- Amplify India’s priorities — represent India’s policy, market-creation and export interests in global advocacy and standard-setting discussions.
- Strengthen bilateral and multilateral ties — deepen engagement with key partners such as H2 Korea, IHFCA, FCHEA, France Hydrogen, Japan Hydrogen Association, Spanish Hydrogen Association and other national associations to accelerate trade, technology transfer and joint R&D.
- Drive certification and market readiness — work with international partners to align standards, certification and offtake frameworks so Indian projects are trade-ready and bankable.
- Support GH2 India members — open pathways for Indian companies to access new markets, investors and technology partners, and to participate in GHIAA working groups and assemblies.
- Shape demand-side policy — amplify the sector’s call for predictable demand signals (offtake, firm procurement and regulatory clarity) so production can be matched with stable markets.
About GHIAA and GH2 India
GHIAA is a global alliance of hydrogen industry associations and companies working to accelerate the deployment, standardisation and trade of hydrogen and hydrogen-derived fuels. GHIAA’s membership model and outreach were shared with GH2 India ahead of the World Hydrogen EXPO, alongside an introductory brochure and membership materials provided by H2KOREA.
GH2 India (Green Hydrogen Association) is the independent industry association representing India’s green hydrogen ecosystem — convening industry, government and international partners to accelerate scale, standards and market creation for green hydrogen in India and for export.
Next steps
GH2 India will immediately engage with GHIAA working groups, coordinate joint activities and identify priority areas for cooperation — including standards alignment, trade facilitation and targeted delegations. GH2 India will also share opportunities for member companies to participate in GHIAA assemblies and working groups over the coming year.
